- Q. Why aren't you releasing mods anymore?
A. Most of the mods I make nowadays are either made for myself or created by someone's paid request. Now, before you criticize me for selling stuff, no, I don't encourage people to buy anything from me, to start with. In the past I had no other option since I was not so relevant as I'm today in the community. If I ever sell anything, it's mostly because people offered me money for me to make work for them, as a job. Is it illegal you say? Well, in that case we'd consider modding in general illegal too, so what are you doing here? Anyway, modding is my way of training my skills in aspects such as 3D modelling, animating, texturing, programming... I learn a lot by making mods, and most people don't appreciate the time and effort I spend on them. It's a lengthy and exhaustive process, and since no one understands better than ourselves how much our work is worth, I don't see any benefit in releasing my content in exchange of nothing (yes, a "thank you" is not worth anything for me, to be honest). That does not mean that I'll never feel like releasing stuff from time to time however, if I feel like sharing my work for others to enjoy, I'll do so. But it will be much more limited than how it used to be in the past, as the majority still won't even credit me for my work (yes, it's as sad as it sounds). Of course, if you're someone I work with or with a very close connection to me in these aspects, I know that you understand how this works and I'll be glad to collaborate and share my work with you.
- Q. You don't share your stuff because you're a selfish dickhead!!
A. Stop right there. If you really think I'm selfish, then how do you explain all the documentation and help I offered to people over the years? And what about all these tutorials and tips I've been giving? And the tools I released? Well, I hope that explains everything. If I'm not providing specific stuff, it's for the reasons I already mentioned above. And believe me, I'm already offering more than what you think, and if you still believe that what I do is not right, I'll kindly ask you to fuck yourself.
- Q. Can you help me with my mod?
A. I'll be glad to provide help to people as much as I can. I'm a busy guy, so don't expect me to respond always. Don't feel bad if I'm not answering, and think that I'm probably doing stuff or helping others instead. Also, please don't spam me, I read every single message I get through Discord, YouTube, Twitter and my e-mail.
- Q. I've been trying to talk to you every day but you don't respond! Why are you ignoring me?
A. Please keep in mind that, as I explained above, I'm a busy guy and I don't really feel like having unproductive and unmeaningful daily conversations. Unless you're someone I trust, know for a long time, appreciate and have a strong relationship with, I'm not going to answer "hi"s, "how are you"s and whatnot. I get really bored of these conversations. Feel free to tell me about something you think I might find interesting about (such as a discovery related to the games I mod), and I will gladly talk with you, plus you might gain my trust as well.
- Q. How do I become a trustful person for you?
A. It's not something you try to reach (in that case, I will know exactly your intentions and hence I will probably stop talking to you), so I can't really give any recommendations. Just be yourself, and if I don't like how you are, you should probably not expect anything from my side.
- Q. Can I collaborate with you to make x mod?
A. The answer is most likely a no unless you're someone from my trusted zone (and of course, if I feel like working on what you're doing). Don't insist and try to gather me into your projects, otherwise you'll be added into my list of attention whores. You won't believe how much people are in there already.
- Q. Any recommendations for my mod?
A. After all these years of modding, I can confirm that originality is very meaningful when determining if a mod is good or bad, at least for me. So be yourself, add, change or remove what you think is the best, and most importantly, don't copy others' ideas.
- Q. Which mods can I request from you?
A. You can request anything you want from MKW or MK8DX, but keep in mind that I might not be able to take your request if: 1. I have too many requests at the moment, normally I'll contact you back when I'm able to work in yours; 2. your request is too difficult for me, so I won't be able to work on it (most of the times I'll be able to tell at the moment you request); and 3. I don't feel comfortable with your mod (could be due to many reasons, such as a mod that offends someone, or if you're directly someone I can't trust at all). Please read my Mod Request Policy before requesting anything.
- Q. Can I use your mod for my package?
- A. You can use any of my public mods for any purpose you want, as long as you credit me at the time of redistributing the files. You are not allowed to share any of the mods requested to me as well as private/exclusive mods unless I give you permission.
